This project involved the make-over of a small 1960’s bungalow with lovely sea and mountain views at Ballyconnell, Falcarragh Co.Donegal. A small extension with a full-width window was built to the side of the house to accommodate the dining table and affords stunning views over Horn Head. The yard to the front of the house was lowered and a full length porch built wrapping around the side of the house, providing a sheltered outdoor space in which to sit and relax.
A new set of pillars with dry stone walls to the side were built to provide enclosure to the site. Muted colours were chosen for the timberwork and the house has a relaxed, handcrafted feel. Internal alterations were also made and the transformation took only 10 weeks to complete.
